Bridal Sizing GuideYour wedding gown is one of the most important and special dresses you will ever buy and making sure it fits you perfectly is key. Bridal sizing differs completely from high street and everyday clothing, mainly due to the dresses being more structured. Therefore, do not be worried if your wedding gown is one or two sizes bigger than the normal size you wear. You will have your bridal consultant with you along the way to help and advise on the correct size for you.
Book an Appointment
We ask all of our brides to book an appointment prior to coming into the store. This ensures we can accommodate you and your bridal party at the time and date you would like. This can be done via the book appointment tab or by calling the store.
Choose Your Dress & Measurements
Once you have chosen your dress, we will take your measurements and work out the correct size for you based on the relevant designer’s chart. Dresses are not made to measure but instead ordered in your closest dress size. During your fittings, our seamstress will then fit your gown perfectly to your body.
You will be contacted by us when your dress arrives in store and if required, we will book you in with our seamstress. (please be aware you are under no obligation to use us for alterations and there are additional charges). Your first fitting will normally take place 6-8 weeks before your wedding. For this appointment it is crucial to bring with you the shoes you will be wearing on your day and any underwear.
At your second fitting once your dress has been altered by our seamstress. If the dress is fitting perfect, it can then be taken home that day ready for your wedding. This appointment normally takes place 2-3 weeks before your special day.
